Light seeker.
My photographic journey began with a 1982 Pentax ME, a cherished gift from my father before his passing. While I have always appreciated the power of photography, it was the tactile magic of 35mm film and the countless hours spent in the darkroom that truly captivated me. This passion inspired me to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and a Master of Arts at The Ohio State University.
My work is deeply rooted in an appreciation for some of the earliest photographic processes, including salt printing, collodion, cyanotype, and sun printing. Additionally, I am skilled in studio lighting, medium and large-format photography, and other alternative photographic techniques. Throughout my time in the BFA & MA program, I discovered my enduring love for light, dynamic range, striking visual storytelling and visual culture—crafting images with creamy bokeh, stunning compositions, and scenes that evoke a sense of wonder.
My Philosophy
Photographs hold the profound ability to preserve fleeting moments, transforming them into cherished memories that last forever. As an artist first and a photographer second, I am dedicated to crafting images that are both visually stunning and thoughtfully composed.
Equally important to me is the connection I build with each of my clients—learning your stories and creating meaningful visual narratives that reflect your unique journey. Allow me to capture those beautiful, fleeting moments in your life.
